A weekend full of AWESOME!

Phew! What a busy (yet awesome) weekend! All my favourite things seemed to have accumulated and were packed into 2 absolutely wicked nights!

On Friday night I organised (a month ago!) a 'project Social' evening in an attempt to achieve cohesion in the project team. Unfortunately this outcome was not achieved as the people that attended were the regular friday night crowd that I hang out with anyway. We started off at the 'Castle' for drinks where the boss showed up for a little while. It was a tad bit awkward, but it didn't last for long...The original plan was to then head off to karaoke but after talk there was not much enthusiasm for it. After a couple more drinks though, people began to admit it might be fun to watch...so I managed to get the gang there for a little while. Turns out the people who were only there to "watch" couldn't help themselves, and it became a bit of a 'man-yelling fest'. A lot more drinks and a couple of hours later, everyone felt either too pissed, too tired, or too hyped up! Turns out only D. and I were excited enough to continue on to Retro! I LOVE RETRO!!

So that summed up my friday night...All my favourite things - (drinks, karaoke, retro). The only negative was the $75 it cost to catch a cab home. Darn I hate living so far away!

Then last night, another of my favourites - Reel Big Fish were in town for a gig at the UNSW round house. There were so many pimply faced kids, not at all what i remember! But the band was still awesome and I spent the night with some great mates! It was B.'s first punk/ska experience and I think she faired well...I think it will be awhile before I have such a fantastic weekend again! Hopefully next weekend (Easter) will be full of more excitement - I'm looking forward to Great Escape :-)
